ProFTPD Components
The following section provides information about the commands, files, and other important components
of the ProFTPD service.
ProFTPD Commands
The following table describes the commands and daemons that are associated with the
ProFTPD service.

Provides the user interface to the ProFTPD service. See the

Shows the current number of connections per
server, as well as per virtual host or anonymous configuration. See the ftpcount(1)

Displays the current status of FTP sessions

Shows
process information for all active proftpd connections and a count of all

Restarts

ProFTPD Files
The following table lists many of the files associated with the ProFTPD service
and their functions.

ProFTPD User
A user and a group named ftp are created by the ProFTPD installation
process. The ProFTPD server runs under these credentials.
