The following new SMF features have been added to this release:
SMF property editing using the svccfg editprop command has been enhanced with the following improvements.
Displays the composed view when an instance is selected. It also displays where the property is defined, for example either in the instance or in the service
By default, the editprop subcommand does not display SMF infrastructure properties such as methods, dependencies, or SMF template definitions.
See How to Modify Multiple Properties for One Service and the svccfg(1M) man page on your Oracle Solaris 11 Update 1 system for more information.
The svcprop command was changed so that SMF template definitions are no longer displayed in its output. There is an -a option to include the template definitions if desired. See the svcprop(1) man page on your Oracle Solaris 11 Update 1 system for more information.
The svcbundle command has been added to the release. This command allows you to create SMF manifests and profiles. See How to Create an SMF Service, How to Create an SMF Profile, and the svcbundle(1M) man page on your Oracle Solaris 11 Update 1 system for more information.
